How it works: Immigration and Residence Permits
Our immigration desk assists foreign nationals with the renewal and issue of residence permits, with the carta di soggiorno for family members of EU citizens, with family reunification and with naturalisation procedures.
We offer assistance in several languages and help you fill in the forms, prepare the required documentation and manage appointments at the Questura and the Prefettura.
We also handle applications for the issue and renewal of residence permits for work, family, study and health reasons, as well as applications for Italian citizenship by residence and by marriage.

- Contratto di lavoro, contratto di locazione o atto di ospitalità
- 4 fototessere, più 4 per ogni figlio minore inserito nel permesso
- Ricevuta del kit postale o appuntamento in Questura, se già presentata

What is needed to renew a residence permit?
You need your passport, the expired or expiring permit, your codice fiscale, a self-declaration of residence and documentation on your income and employment. The patronato prepares and submits the application.
How far in advance should the renewal be requested?
The renewal should be requested at least 60 days before expiry. It is also possible to apply later, but this may cause delays in processing.
Is immigration assistance provided in Italian?
We offer multilingual assistance: our staff supports foreign nationals in other languages as well as Italian.
